Welcome to the homepage of goLEATHER DC!

goLEATHER, originally of South Florida, is now alive and well in the DC/MD/VA area and we welcome you to check us out by attending a meeting.

We are a dynamic group of young (and young at heart) people who enjoy learning from and supporting one another on our Leather journeys. We come from all races, sexes, gender identities, sexual orientations, kinks, and pretty much every permutation thereof, however we all feel drawn to some aspect of the Leather/BDSM/Kink/Fetish communities, which is what has brought us together as friends.

goLEATHER is not like other groups you may have attended or joined in the past. We strive to be small, intimate, and friendly as well as educational, fun, and supportive. Our focus is on the Leather Community in particular though we welcome people from any alternative lifestyle/sexuality realm - or even just the academically curious. We hold a meeting each month which is primarily social in function and we also try to have fun events like movie nights, dinners out together, pizza and porn parties, sleep-overs, and anything else you might want. The point is not to hookup or play but to spend time in a kink-friendly environment with people of all experience levels.

Though goLEATHER is targeted towards those who are new to or curious about Leather, we are open to people of all ages when it comes to attending meetings. We even encourage older/more experienced Leatherfolk to join us as Advocate Members who are a large part of what makes our group unique. You won't come to goLEATHER to hear anyone lecture, rather we promote education in an informal social environment. Basically, one on one conversations between group members act as the primary means of "education."

You will also never pay to come to one of our meetings, which are held at members' houses or public places like restaurants, etc.

goLEATHER is committed to its core values: "Know Yourself, Love Yourself, Protect Yourself, Empower Yourself" which we foster by giving members and meeting attendees a safe place to be themselves, find themselves, and interact with others who are of a similar persuasion.

A brief history:
goLEATHER was founded in South Florida in April 2005 by Joshua (contact him at joshua@goleather.org). Joshua served as President for three years before handing leadership over, and the group is still going strong in the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area (but always open to new members!) In May 2006 Ellen joined the group and later took it with her back north when she arrived in the DC area in October 2007. The founding members of goLEATHER DC are:
